Nicholas was admitted to The Bar of England and Wales in 2012, and The Bahamas Bar in 2013.
Following the completion of his pupillage as Crown Counsel in the Office of the Attorney General, he entered private practice as a civil and commercial Attorney. He rejoined the Firm in December 2022 as a Partner. He heads the Firm’s Commercial Maritime Group.
Having appeared before all levels of the judiciary, he is a seasoned litigator with a thorough knowledge of civil procedure. He approaches each matter with a research-based client focused approach. Having been selected as a junior by King’s Counsel throughout his career trajectory, his thoroughness and diligence speak for themselves.
Described as a “skillful advocate with a cleverly approach to the law,” he has been instructed in matters of international commercial shipping law, commercial arbitration and litigation, banking and finance law, insurance litigation and public law reviews. His practice areas are as varied as his experience and Nicholas is happy to be instructed in the full gamut of civil and commercial matters.
Outside of the law, Nicholas is a member of the Public Disclosure Commission of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas and a member of The Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn.
He enjoys Formula One racing, Champions League Football and Rugby in his spare time.
