On 1 May 2026 at Government House, Raynard Rigby KC was sworn in as an Acting Justice of the Supreme Court of The Bahamas, by Her Excellency Dame Cynthia Pratt.
Mr. Rigby agreed to serve on the invitation of the Chief Justice, Sir Ian Winder, who attended the swearing in.
During the period, 1 May to 31 July 2026, Mr. Rigby KC sat as a Judge on the commercial side of the Supreme Court. He expressed that “he was thrilled at the experience afforded and count the past three months as invaluable in his legal career and journey. He thank the team at the Firm for allowing him to serve“.
The Firm welcomes the return of its Senior Partner to the Firm and congratulates him on his appointment and stellar work as a Judge.
